Step 1: Create the Daffodil Center
Cut four strips of yellow tissue paper (hand-length in size).
Twist three strips into rope-like shapes and fold them in half.
Wrap the fourth strip around a floral wire stem, securing with glue.
Attach the folded tissue strips to create the daffodil center.
Step 2: Make the Cup (Trumpet) of the Daffodil
Cut the center piece from orange cardstock.
Curl the edges using a shaping tool and add creases for texture.
Form the piece into a cylindrical shape, securing with glue.
Gently curl back the top edges to mimic a real daffodil’s ruffled cup.
Step 3: Assemble the Flower
Insert the tissue-paper center into the orange trumpet and glue securely.
Trim excess tissue paper at the top.
Cut two petal shapes from yellow cardstock.
Curl each petal, then layer and glue them around the center.
Adjust and shape the petals for a natural look.
Step 4: Add the Leaves and Finish the Stem
Cut two daffodil leaves and fold slightly for texture.
Attach leaves to the floral wire stem with floral tape.
Shape the leaves to create an organic, natural appearance.
