Home Updates + Cozy Cooking
If you're anything like me, you love collecting gorgeous paper but find it hard to actually use it! Thanks to Paper Source (Use discount code "SARAKIM10") for sending me this stunning collection—I'm finally challenging myself to put it to good use. I'll be wrapping gifts for friends and participating in an exciting March Craft Challenge. What should I make? I’d love to hear your ideas!
Speaking of crafts, I also received a beautiful paper portrait from the talented Carol at @Scrapeople. It’s such an honor to have this unique piece, and I’ve displayed it in my living room. It’s different from my own style, but that’s what makes it so inspiring! Check out more of her portraits here https://www.scrapeople.com.br/.
Cooking with My New Our Place Pot
I also got a gift package from Our Place, and I couldn’t be more excited! You all know how much I love their cookware—I already have the Wonder Oven, Always Pan, and now, the Perfect Pot has joined my collection. It’s the prettiest color, and I finally put it to the test by making one of my favorite meals: chicken tortilla soup.
This soup is a staple in our home, and it brings back memories of my Weight Watchers journey when I lost 40 lbs postpartum. It’s a zero-point meal, meaning it’s packed with clean ingredients but still super flavorful and hearty. Of course, I like to add a little cheese and eat it with rice or bread because balance, right?
Tortilla Soup Recipe:
4 cups shredded chicken
6 cup chicken broth
1 can black beans drained
1 can diced tomato
2 cup corn
2 bell peppers chopped
1 onion diced
1 cup cilantro
1 jalapeno diced
3 minced garlic
1 tbs chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 packet taco seasoning
Toppings optional- tortilla, shredded cheese, Cilantro, Lime
New Bedroom Upgrade: The Canvas TV
Another exciting update—we finally upgraded our bedroom TV! We went with the Canvas TV, a budget-friendly alternative to the Frame TV, and we love it. It mounts flat against the wall and comes with built-in art displays, making it look like a framed picture when not in use. I’m also adding some paper lotus flowers in front of the TV for a decorative touch.
K-Beauty Favorites
I’ve also been testing out some of my favorite K-Beauty products—these make the perfect gifts for friends. Some of my go-to items include:
A body lotion that is not sticky and scent free, as seen on Single’s Inferno 4
My favorite go to hair serum these days, also seen on Single’s Inferno
I’ll be linking my favorites above if you’re looking for kbeauty must haves or gifts!
That’s all for now! I have my full vlog on my Youtube Channel above, it’s my creative outlet and a way to share some behind the scenes and my life of an artist. Let me know in the comments—what should I make for the March Paper Craft Challenge?
See you in my next vlog! 💕
